Welcome to my page! My name is Heather Nathan and I am one of the ADSIS team members here at EVW. The goal of ADSIS is to provide instruction and services to K-12 students who need additional academic or behavioral support to succeed in the general education environment. I will be based at Eden Valley Elementary and have taught in the district since 2010. I am excited about working with small groups of students to help them thrive. I strongly believe all students can succeed.
I graduated from St. Cloud State University in 2010 with a degree in Elementary Education. I then went back to school and earned my Master’s Degree from St. Mary's University. I have since taken LETRS training and other courses to focus on how children learn to read. It is my goal, that with this knowledge, I can help students unlock the "code" of the English language to become better readers.
I currently live in Richmond with my husband and 3 children. We enjoy being outdoors, going to our hunting cabin and spending time with family and friends. When I'm not busy chasing after my children, I can be found on the deck with a good book, trying a new recipe in the kitchen or something else to fulfill my creative side.
I look forward to continue working with the wonderful students here at EVW. GO EAGLES!

Mindy Blommer

Hello, my name is Mindy Blommer, ADSIS Assistant. I have been with the Eden Valley-Watkins School District for the past 30 years. I started as an assistant for the Peer Tutor Program, later becoming the Coordinator. This year I am pursing a new adventure with our ADSIS team, providing instruction and services to students in grades 7-12 who need additional academic and behavioral support to succeed in the general education environment.
I am excited and look forward to working with students one-on-one or in small groups to help master concepts with reading, math, and behavioral interventions, while building self-esteem, striving for and achieving academic success.
In my personal life I enjoy spending time with my growing family and friends. I enjoy camping, kayaking, antiquing and just enjoying life.
