I have been teaching here at Eden Valley Watkins for eighteen years now. I was born and raised here and this is all I know, the EVW way!!! After I graduated from EVW, I went to Ridgewater to get my AA degree and play baseball. I did well enough there, to earn a baseball scholarship to play at Upper Iowa University, a division 2 school. I graduated from there with a Physical Education and Health degree, with a minor in coaching. I accepted the position at EVW right out of college and haven't looked back. I just received my Master's in DAPE this past year.
We like to teach the students' lifetime activities here at EVW. My goal as a Physical Education and Health teacher is to make the class as enjoyable as I can. I feel the more fun the activity or class is, the more students will be engaged. PE should be the best part of their day and I try to make it happen.
I have been married to Jessica for 17 years now. We have four kids; Hayley 16, Torii 15, and Broc 12, and Beau 9. I enjoy spending time with the family, playing baseball, coaching sports, wrestling and baseball. We also have gone on my family vacations and love the tradition of being able to take one every year.
