Janelle Dziengel

I have been working at Eden Valley-Watkins since 2000 and have enjoyed every minute. Originally from Albany, I graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in Special Education. I have also received my Masters Degree in Special Education as well as my Administrative Degree from St. Cloud State University.
I believe education is important for every child. Special education is the education of students with needs that extend beyond the classroom. I strive to provide these students with the tools and services they need to succeed academically and in society.
In addition to teaching I am advisor of Prom and the Eagles Nest. In my free time I enjoy scrapbooking, camping and watching my children play sports.

Rebecca Kuechle

Hello!
My name is Becky Kuechle, and I am an EVW alumna who graduated from St. Cloud State University with a bachelor's and masters degree in Special Education. I have taught at EVW High School since 2000. I have licensures in developmental cognitive disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and specific learning disabilities.
I believe every student deserves a quality education, gaining the necessary skills to be successful in their future. As a special education teacher and advocate, I encourage all students to understand and celebrate the diversity that makes every individual special. In my classroom, student’s unique needs are met with a focus on life skills to help prepare them for the transition to adult life.
I believe high school is an opportunity for students to have as many experiences as possible and strongly encourage participation in extracurricular activities.

Deidra Hiltner

Hello! My name is Deidra Hiltner, and I’m a proud Eden Valley-Watkins graduate from the Class of 2000. I currently live in Paynesville with my husband and our four wonderful children: Josie, Callie, Tess, and Thomas Jr.
I earned my degree in Environmental Studies and Biology from St. Cloud State University. Later, I pursued my Graduate Teaching License in Elementary Education and 5–8 Science at The College of St. Scholastica, where I also completed a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a second Master’s Degree in Special Education.
Over the past 16 years, I’ve been fortunate to teach across elementary through high school classrooms. While science has always been a passion of mine, I’ve developed a deep interest in reading instruction. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a child gain confidence and make meaningful progress when given the right tools to succeed.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy gardening and cooking. As a family, we love spending time outdoors—camping, fishing, trap shooting, and playing cards. Our kids are involved in a wide range of activities, including volleyball, basketball, wrestling, t-ball, trap, soccer, figure skating, and track, so they keep us happily on the go
