Color Guard is a Community Ed Activity
Colorguard can be a group of 5-12th grade students who practice and perform a routine to an upbeat song. The students have practice in the summer with the marching band, perfecting their routine and marching. In the winter, they practice for a month to perfect a creative routine, including tosses, to an upbeat song. They perfect it and perform at a basketball half-time. It is a great way to get involved in counting and feeling the rhythm of music. The students get to bond and learn unique snappy and flowing moves, including throws. The goal is to give students who aren't into athletics something else to be involved in.
