One Act is open for grades 7-12.  One Act is an excellent area for students to gain self-esteem, respect, and a positive attitude about themselves.  It also teaches them how to work with others in a group setting. Everyone, from the smallest job or part to the largest, is equally important to the success of the production.  Dependability and commitment are attributes that are required when being chosen to participate.

Students compete in the subsection One Act Play Contest the last Saturday in January.  The number of performances is determined by who is chosen to compete at both section and state level.  During rehearsals and productions, students learn the basics in acting, voice and diction, stage direction, lighting and sound while working with their peers in a positive setting.
